As a long time collector and editor of images i've decided to open a webpage to offer up rare images for sale and to give tribute to those photographers who were there to take the pictures and tell the tales.
Over the past 30 or so years, I have met great photographers or purchased thousands of one of a kind images. I’ve also been known to pick up a camera occasionally to take images myself.
A charmed life meeting Music folks
I have spent many years haunting record stores and meeting with avid music lovers all over the U.S.
For decades, I have not only owned and worked in record stores, but also managed to collect over 20,000 records.
But my devotion to music extends far beyond the edges of physical records. As a disc jockey, I held court in both terrestrial radio stations as well as online as “The PHD of Old School” for many years.
In 1994, I began capturing images at concerts and processing them on the “down low” at the one hour lab I worked at the time. Additionally, I found inspiration in the talented models of the Santa Rosa California area, capturing their charisma and beauty through my lens.
In 2000, I won the RMAT (The Rhino Musical Aptitude Test) for the whole Las Vegas region and finished 7th overall in the world!
Later I worked for the estate of William “PoPsie” Randolph and wrote a book that featured the legendary 1966 Percy Sledge release party that featured Jimi Hendrix, Wilson Pickett, Esther Phillips and the Atlantic Records brain trust all photographed by "PoPsie".
I’ve always have had a lifelong love affair with music and photography and now I’d like to share that love with the folks who visit this site.
